According to the Minister of PUPR, the topic of water needs for humans and the environment is a concern because President Jokowi views that currently the world is already facing a global water crisis. Therefore, the President hopes that the 10th World Water Forum in Bali will produce a number of concrete recommendations.
"He saw that we are already facing the global water crisis . For this reason, he hopes that the 10th World Water Forum will not only be an ordinary conference, but will also produce concrete recommendations for action," said the Minister of PUPR.
Furthermore, the Minister of PUPR said that on Monday-Tuesday 15-16 February, an initial meeting will begin which will be attended by the entire Board of Governors of the World Water Council consisting of 56 people. In addition, this inaugural meeting will also be attended by more than 1,400 participants.
"Hopefully this kick-off meeting can go well to be able to move everyone. So the aim is to mobilize, mobilize all stakeholders in the water sector to be more aware of problems with water resources management," added Minister Basuki.
