Why is ASEAN important? ASEAN not only facilitates cooperation among countries in the region, but ASEAN also has the potential to facilitate conversations among polarized global powers.

In 2023, Indonesia will accept ASEAN chairmanship. We hope that with Indonesia's leadership in ASEAN, we will see a bigger role for Indonesia and ASEAN in the world.
