President Indonesia Joko Widodo had a bilateral meeting with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.

On the sidelines of holding the ASEAN-EU 45th Anniversary Summit in Brussels, I had a bilateral meeting with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.

Sweden is one of Indonesia's main economic partners in the Nordics especially in green development. To PM Ulf Kristersson, I expressed my hope that this sector would become a priority for cooperation between Indonesia and Sweden in the future.

Indonesia's chairmanship in ASEAN in 2023 coincides with Sweden's presidency in the European Union in the first half of 2023. Let's strengthen the synergy of the ASEAN-EU partnership that is equal and of real benefit.

Bilateral meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, on the sidelines of the ASEAN-EU 45th Anniversary Summit at the Europa Building, Brussels, last Wednesday.

There were several issues that I conveyed at the meeting, including the Indonesia-EU CEPA negotiations, energy transition cooperation, investment cooperation, and cooperation in combating cross-border crime.

First, I call for the ASEAN-EU partnership to contribute to an inclusive economic recovery. Inclusive and value-added development will support the resilience of the world economy in a just manner. In this regard, Indonesia will continue to develop the downstream industry.

Second, I encourage the ASEAN-EU partnership to build a greener and more sustainable future. The energy crisis is a necessity, but the energy transition must be carried out in a fair manner.
